do's and don'ts.
Buy up when they are cheap. You can always dice them and freeze them for later use in guacamole!
Try them in vegan desserts. Combine 2 large avocados, 2-3 tablespoons of lime juice, 1/3-1/2 cup of raw cacao powder and 1/3 cup of agave or maple syrup. Blend in a food processor til combined and set in the fridge for an hour before consuming.
Add them to salads. Avocados add another texture to the salad and are perfect when paired with cherry tomatoes and crisp lettuce!
Add them to smoothies. Avocados not only add creaminess to smoothies, but also help to thicken them. As avocados are also a great source of fibre, they will help you to stay fuller for longer
Smash with fetta and pile onto toast for a simple, nutritious and filling breakfast.
Try it grilled- split in half, drizzle with olive oil and grill. It enhances the creaminess and is great with eggs and other toppings!
Squish them- when testing for ripeness, squeeze with care. Too much pressure on the avocado can result in bruising, which alters the flavour.
Avoid them-they are not only delicious, but are a great source of vitamin C and healthy fats!
Eat them like crazy- everything in moderation!
