Not entirely happy...
I purchased the 7 piece set along with an additional 18cm saucepan. I really love the quality of them, but have been left questioning the practicality of some of the pieces. There's no steam vents in the lids to begin with, and the steamer itself is a big issue. I have a family of boys, and they love their mashed potato! So I've always filled the bottom of a saucepan with potatoes and placed the steamer over the top filled with the rest of our vegetables (like most people I'd assume). It saves on water and electricity, having to use only the one hot plate.
However, the Raco steamer sits so far into the bottom saucepans that I cannot fit my usual amount of potatoes in, without having to watch the water to top it up before it boils dry. I find I also have to steam the vegetables for much longer as well, to cook them through, due to the shape of the steamer. And I can't tell you how many times I've almost dropped the steamer altogether because of the heat from the handles. Why oh why were they not given a protective covering like every other steamer I've ever had? (And I've owned many - I run my own catering business from home so need to upgrade my sets every few years!)
I've actually thrown out the steamer altogether now - thankfully I'd kept my old one as I knew straight away that I wasn't happy with the Raco one. I gave it many chances, but it's just too poorly designed. So I'm back to using my old steamer, using only the one hot plate, having enough mash potato to suit my boys, and no more burnt fingers!

Every piece you need.
Very light weight. Very easy to keep clean. Every piece you need. So in love with our RACO cookware set that we got my Mum to buy one too.

Nearly perfect
I’m largely happy with my new cookware set. I particularly like the cool touch handles and I dont know why some sets are offered without cool touch handles. I’m not so happy with the steamer, I find its multi size base and lack of its own lid renders it pretty much useless

My love of Raco Pots and Accessories
I love Raco . What can I say. I bought my first purchase more than 30 years ago. Loved the pots then and still love them now. Since then I have purchased the non stick frying pans and this time I purchased a set of pots for a family member whose getting married. What a great gift. Will certainly think of you again for next time. JO.
